Wake up to the birdsong and finish the day trying one of our own board games or just collapsing in front of the fire in the ancient oak paneled lounge where gourmet meals can be washed down with one of thirty single malt whiskies"

As countless visitors will testify, Amherst Lodge is a very special place where relaxation and comfort combine with a spectacular setting to provide our guests with a distinctive and memorable stay.

For short visits, most guests choose to stay in the Lodge where you will receive a warm welcome and personal service throughout. There are just four rooms in the Lodge. All of them are en suite with the usual facilities (televisions, hair dryers etc) as well as a multitude of small touches to make your stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

For longer stays of a week or more, most (but not all) of our guests choose to stay on a self-catering basis either in Fisherman's Cottage or in Snug End. Self-catering guests have full use of the grounds but not the Lodge.
