The fascinating woodland garden, created in an ancient Roman clay pit, features wild flowers and an array of moisture loving plants including candelabra primulas. These provide a wonderful compliment to the rhododendrons and azaleas. This area is particularly beautiful early in the season whilst the pergola walk with its old fashioned roses and herbaceous plants is at its best during the summer months.
The gardens are open daily from early April to late September. For further details contact Burrow Farm Gardens, Dalwood, Axminster, East Devon EX13 7ET. Telephone (01404) 831 285
