"All sorts of marine creatures for visitors to admire and learn about".
Situated on the end of the famous Cobb in Lyme Regis, the marine aquarium is conveniently located only a stone's throw away from where the fishermen land their catch. This proximity to the fishermen provides an abundant supply of fascinating marine animals which are kept in tanks within the aquarium building (shown in the picture on the right, you can click on it to see it enlarged).
All sorts of things may be displayed, from ugly crustacea like lobsters and spider crabs to brutish looking conger eels and on to more colourful and delicate specimens like tiny inhabitants of rock pools and so forth.
Admission to the aquarium is extremely reasonable. For adults it makes a nice addition to a stroll along the Cobb whilst for children it is a place where a magical underwater world comes to life.
For additional information about the aquarium, why not give them a ring on (01297) 444 230.
